Wills, Trusts and Probate
It is never too early to begin estate planning. We are all going to die someday, perhaps sooner than we expect. Who will care for your minor children and pay for your funeral expenses? Who gets the task of pouring through your belongings to find documents for your taxes? Will there be family squabbles over who gets that restored 1965 Chevy Corvair in the barn out back? Will some clueless relative dump your family China at Goodwill? Don't leave your grieving family to guess at what you would have wanted. No estate is too small.
Lee Montgomery has graciously agreed to host a conversation about Wills, Trusts and Probate on Friday, July 11, at 2:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Lee has retired from his practice so participants will be asked to refrain from seeking specific advice about their personal estate, but the conversation should help you to understand what legal options you can pursue with your own attorney or estate planner. Lists of local attorneys will be provided along with the form from the Trinity Lutheran office to plan your funeral service.
Please sign up on the narthex bulletin board at your convenience.
